The project at 42 Nile Road began as a response to flood damage, but quickly evolved into a full-scale home modernisation. The homeowners saw the opportunity to refresh and enhance their space beyond basic repairs.
To improve flow and functionality, the kitchen and lounge were opened up by installing a structural beam, making way for a beautiful new kitchen complete with a striking feature splashback. The existing hardwood floors throughout the home were sanded back and polished, restoring their natural warmth and character.
All three bedrooms were upgraded with new GIB, plaster, and paint, and fitted with solid core doors and quality hardware. With wall linings removed, the team was able to fully insulate the external walls, significantly improving the home’s energy efficiency.
Both bathrooms were completely gutted and rebuilt, featuring contemporary tiles, modern fixtures and fittings, and custom-built vanities designed to fit each space.
